biggest takeaway
Just getting stuff on tap that we can evaluate and teach
Re. Mercyhurst
Guys are learning their roles and positions. It was a different style game
Re. Alvaro usage vs Aly
yes, a lot of the same usage in how Aly was used, but he's more of a point forward
AD
He's a heck of a player, he just does so many things that effects the game. He's become a great defender.
"
we have to be one of the top defenses and one of the top predominant teams in the country for us to reach our potential."
very high praise for Chatt offense EFG
"I say Princeton-ish type team, but they're not they're they're more modern Principal team, not the old rigid. "
"I wanted the ball in our bigs hands more" re. Mercyhurst
"We didn't let our offense effect our defense"
"It's a legend coming back to town" - PK re Pitino

Talks about the importance of building relationships vs just coaching kids
Reyna Scott sent him something from Turkey for his birthday - a box that opens to a middle finger on a spring
"really liking forward to this year"
"I really like this team and think we have the ability to do something good"
Grace is healthy now
Speaking to the late addition of Amiya Joyner - average 9.2 points and 7.5 rebounds last year for LSU
"I put out different combinations out in exhibitions to see how they work"
"Again, I know they did not have the year anywhere close to what they wanted this past year, and you know when you sit, I sit down with it, I talk to her about it, I was just impressed with how she handled it." re. Mo at Bellarmine
"In order to play hard we need everyone to be healthy"
Talk about relationships with players, and how you're probably not a coach that everybody can play for. When you've got someone here for only a year, how long does it take them to figure you out and what you're all about?
"It it doesn't take long, you know. And part of it is a lot of these kids.
You recruit not kids, young young ladies. I call them kids because they're like my own family. "
" I compare it to school. You know, you tell me you want to get straight A's. You want to be dean's list, then you don't study. Well, the results aren't going to work for you. So, you know, our jobs as coache"
