Jeff looks defeated about giving up the playcalling
Jeff has mentioned Cassity a few times in the presser now. I can't remember a time he has in the past.
Mentioned earlier that Ivey/Ellis/Cassity were in the booth together. I was informed this morning Jeff and Cassity would combo the defensive play calling.
Brian would be the offensive play caller

Well, the process was easy because I've probably robbed him of that opportunity for many years. I've called it probably for at least 14 straight years now.
In terms of giving up play calling duties
Yes, it was. Yes, it was just because I-that's just something I believe in and take pride in and work hard at.
But at the same time, you know, I understand that in order to win, we we all have to be on the same page in all three segments-defense, offense, and special teams-playing at a high level

The use of wristbands on defense:
And yeah, we'll continue to have wristbands. We don't use them every play, but we can sporadically mix that in.
It's a combination of not allowing the other team to steal your signals, and then it's a combination of you know we've had some issues of misreading our signals on the sideline, so we're trying to
get as perfect as we can and making sure we're on the same page, lined up and set.
overall health:
You know, Keywan and Anwar O'Neill. Those are the two that we're concerned about that we're not sure. We won't know till later in the week on that one. Cason Henry, I give him credit. Didn't practice all week. I didn't think he was going to play. play, and I think he knew we were shorthanded and he stepped up, especially when Anwar went down and went in, did a good job for somebody who didn't practice one play all week.

Where have you seen this team improve?
You know, getting better is not a week-to-new thing. It's an ongoing thing. As long as you're in the game of football, you're going to be trying to get better in
step 1 - But even simple things, from you know, getting the call, getting set, getting lined up, getting rides in the right place, getting the correct call communicated to everybody, starting with the little things that turn into big things if they're not done
Step 2 - was was just being able to simplify some things and really address the issues that we've seen and and spend time correcting the issues. You know, and as I said, that's a if you're in football, that's a everyday process trying to correct things that have gone wrong or been exposed, and you just-it's a constant, constant work in progress

It doesn't really matter about who the receiver is or anything like that. It's about just executing calls and what the coach says to do. that.
